I have really enjoyed reading this book! It has helped me think differently about my math instruction. We changed to using more manipulative, journaling and playing math games. Math has become everyone’s favorite subject.
This book is a thorough and accessible application of Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy to math. Denise Gaskins balances theories with practical ideas that a teacher can implement immediately. The content is helpful in teaching kindergartners through high schoolers. Denise is encouraging, down to earth, and easy to understand. I highly recommend this book for any math teacher and especially for the homeschooling mom who wants to enrich her math curriculum or method!
Really enjoying this math journal as a supplement to our math curriculum! We use this journal when we need a break from our regular curriculum. My kids have enjoyed the activities we did so far.
I love all of Denise Gaskins books so far, and Multiplication and Fractions was just what we needed to work on challenging concepts in a engaging and fun way. There's still a lot to the book that I haven't explored yet, but everything we've tried thus far has worked great. Math no longer causes tears or headaches!
I enjoy appreciate the way the book is structured, making it easy to find something that connects with other maths resources being used or other subjects entirely! It is simple to adapt many of the activities for a range or primary and intermediate ages, and I can see that older kids (and adults!) as well would get so much out of using these prompts to deep dive into areas of interest and curiosity. Thank you!
I am excited to have a plan for how to make math more playful. My kids are loving it and that is such a huge win for us. It’s a healing balm for kiddos who are anxious about math!
This book is such a great resource! I teach 4th grade and was struggling to find math games that corresponded with the math topics my students are learning. Now I have all I need!
Everyone from my 1st grader to my CPA auntie loves these puzzles. Excellent, creative and truly accessible for any level.
We have not started with it but we have looked over it and the excitement is real!!!

Loads of fun and can be used multiple times with infinite variety!
We have used a couple prompts so far and really appreciate how they get the children playing with math and enjoying it!
Denise, Thank you for loving math & creating ways to have fun playing as they learn. Math was a chore for me in school & my grades were usually Cs. Thankfully, God blessed our kids with their father's math skills. kim
Fun way to learn math. Love the combo of literature and math. Appreciate the explanation of how to think through the word problems. It’s more than just numbers, it’s understanding the language and what is really going on or asked.
