Celebrate Math Storytelling Day

Once Upon a Time... there was a girl who loved math. She delighted in puzzles and patterns. She wondered about infinity and infinitesimals. She played with shapes and symmetry.
Then one day that girl met another girl who loved math, and they became fast friends.
When the two girls realized they shared their birthday, they said, "Let's have a party!"
"But not just a little, normal party" the first girl said. "I want a party as big as the whole world. As big as mathematics itself. Let's have a party for everyone!"
So she turned her birthday party into a holiday that everyone can celebrate. She called it Math Storytelling Day. And now, every September 25th, we celebrate by giving each other a gift of math, wrapped up in a story.
